Peja Ilic is the lead coach of the U19 Girls’ team that competes in the National League. He has been working for Alexandria Soccer Association since 2014. Peja played professionally in Serbia for the club Sindjelic which competed in Division 1. He first came to the United States in 2012, playing for the Columbus Crew (MLS club) and Virginia Royals (PDL club). Alongside coaching for ASA, he plays for their Pro team, the ASA Reds, which competes in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Peja is a USSF “B” license candidate. In the Spring of 2021, Peja founded PI Training to allow him to share his soccer experience with a broader group of aspiring individuals.

DC Area

  • Tchoso Awide

    Tchoso was born in Togo, West Africa, and came to the United States around age 10. He started playing competitively in high school and has since played in Washington Premier League, DC Premier League, and now United Premier Soccer League with the Alexandria Reds. Tchoso’s favorite part of playing is having fun and building connections with his teammates. His favorite aspect of coaching is teaching kids a new skill and helping them find their passion for soccer. 

  • Nick Conklu

    Nick Conklu grew up in Arlington, VA and is a local soccer product of the DMV. He has played all levels of grassroots soccer, from recreation, to club soccer with Arlington SA, VA State & Region 1 ODP, as well as winning the 2016 VA Boys State Soccer Championship with his high school team. He has played as a goalkeeper for 15 years. His six years of NCAA college soccer playing experience includes four years at the College of the Holy Cross (NCAA D1) & two seasons at Molloy University (NCAA D2). In his short time at Molloy, Nick helped lead the program to two consecutive championships and an NCAA tournament appearance, earning All-Conference honors and being named the Conference Goalkeeper of the Year. Nick has been coaching & training goalkeepers as well as players for five years now. He has a deep love and passion for soccer and enjoys helping, motivating, and inspiring young players to strive for excellence and achieve their goals. Currently, Nick works as a Goalkeeper Coach & Assistant Coach for Alexandria Soccer Association.

  • Rodney Ngoh

    Rodney and his family are from Cameroon, West Africa, where fútbol is an integral part of the culture. He started playing for his local club, Fort Washington Cannons, before playing for the DC United Academy. Rodney then played four years of collegiate soccer at Marymount University, captaining the men's soccer team and winning numerous awards and honors, such as being selected for the VASID All-State First Team and Marymount All-Decade Team. He began coaching while playing for the Alexandria Reds Pro team. Rodney's favorite soccer memories are scoring game-winning goals and celebrating with his teammates. His favorite part of coaching is the process: which is teaching someone interested in soccer, watching that interest become a love for the game, and the joy they express after mastering a new skill through training.

  • Tim Lenzo

    Tim Lenzo is the lead coach of the Alexandria U13 2012 Girls National League team. He has worked with the club since 2017. He also coached their U19 2006-05 girls team, was an assistant Coach for their ASA Reds Men's team and is the current Women's Futsal Pro Coach. He won the USYF 2024 U12 Girls Regional Championship, USFF 2023 U19 Girls Regional Championship, and finalist in USFF U15 Girls 2024 National and Regional Championship and USYF U15 Girls 2024 Regional Championships. He also is a former VYSA ODP Coach. As a player Tim played for SAC (now Baltimore Armour), and Columbia Soccer Club as well as playing in the State and Regional ODP pool. As a youth he competed in Futsal State, Regional and National tournaments. It was in futsal where Tim learned the value of tight technical skills and feints and blended it with his vision and game understanding as a centermid. After highschool Tim served in the United States Marine Corps and brings his experience as a Sergeant to form a unique intensity and discipline combined with technical work, game psychology and intelligence with creative flair to his coaching philosophy. Tim is currently taking his USSF "B" License and is part of the Alexandria Soccer Technical Team and a Coach Mentor for U15-U19 Girls Head Coaches.

  • Meseret Haddis

    Meseret was born in North Dakota to Eritrean parents who instilled a love for soccer in him at a young age. He played competitively with his local club Capital City Soccer Club, from U9-U18, all while playing in school where he was the captain of the high school varsity team, Century High School. In college, he played with the University of North Dakota club team his freshman year before transferring to NYU to pursue his academics. His coaching experience started while he was a player in high school, teaching kids from Pre-K to middle school the fundamentals and playing as a team. Currently located in the NJ/NYC area, he's continuing his coaching career, previously with Red Bull NY, where he coached youth teams at the West Side Soccer League. Meseret prides himself on developing the complete player and is excited to grow players' skill sets at all levels.
